Got it done!  I successfully passed my VCP-410 exam this morning, not without a bit of drama.  So I get to the testing center, the same one I always go to for certification exams, I’m comfortable there, I’ve passed exams there, call me superstitious.  I get there at 5 minutes to 9am EST.  I walk in the room where the test proctor sits and the room is hot, all of his servers are whining and blinking and he’s got a terrible looking memory error on his screen, what a mess.  He tells me he’s troubleshooting the issue, and to just wait for 10 minutes, well 30 minutes pass.  I go back in, he’s now got the case off the server and there are parts everywhere, not quite sure if he knows what he’s doing, I offer to help which he promptly turned down (I work on servers, I know my way around) and told me to wait a few more minutes.  After an hour he finally comes out and tells me I need to reschedule!  An hour!!  It then takes me 30 minutes to reschedule at another testing site, I drive there and sign in, take my picture and sit for the exam.

The exam was great, my studying paid off.  Please see my post, Want to pass VCP4, Check this out!, this is the studying track that I took in order to pass the exam.  I scored a 356 (min 300 to pass), 6 points above the amount needed to be qualified for a VCI position with VMware.  Due to my diligent study habits, I found the test to be pretty fair, I’m allotted 90 mins for 85 questions, and it only took me 35 minutes.

I can now proudly display this on my blog:

    1. Thanks Gregg, yes, I’m already thinking about the VCAP-DCA….. would be cool to nab both before my VMworld 2010 trip!
