6 days until the doors swing open at the Moscone Center in San Francisco for VMworld 2010! We’re getting close, really close. My days left to get in running shape are dwindling. Interview prepping is getting crammed into a serious busy “Pre-VMworld” schedule. Too much to do, to little time, but man I am looking forward to it, as are all of you that are going are as well. So many things to be excited for, hard to get the list cut down to just a few blog posts. Today, I’m excited about two really fascinating pre-VMworld briefs I got as a GestaltIT crew member last week. The news concerning these briefs are under lock and key until Tuesday at VMworld, here’s a synopsis of what is going down (as much as I can say of course):

Tuesday August 31st, 2010 12:00 noon PST: Major Announcement from Xsigo
On Tuesday I will be attending a lunch party hosted by Xsigo, held to announce a major product release to some of us from the GestalIT crew and a few select other bloggers. Also in attendance will be Steve Schuckenbrock of Dell, John Doerr and Ray Lane of Kleiner Perkins, Claus Moldt of salesforce.com and Ashok Krishnamurthi and Lloyd Carney of Xsigo. From 11:30 to 1:30, I’ll be behind locked doors getting the full rundown on an amazing product that I had the opportunity to be briefed on last week. At 12 noon PST the announcement will go live to the rest of the public, and shortly thereafter I’ll drop a blog post with all the details you need on their announcement. Be excited, be very excited, don’t miss my post on this. After the announcement I will be taping a video roundtable discussion on this announcement from Xsigo, and I’ll be sure to get that posted as well so you can see what we have to discuss.

Monday August 30th, 2010 8:00am PST: Visit the Zetta booth at VMworld
On Monday morning, after the doors to VMworld open and you get your registration taken care of, head over to the Zetta booth at VMworld, and check out what they’ve brought to the show, you won’t want to miss it either. I had the opportunity to be on a conference call with the Zetta execs and the GestaltIT crew and it was a highly informative meeting. They have a great new product/service that you will want to check out. In the meantime, head over to Zetta.com and check out what’s happening.

Hope to see you there,
