VMworld 2011 outside the Venetian Hotel
Today is day two of VMworld 2011 in Las Vegas, and so far it has been an incredible conference. Yesterday I attended a session based on virtualization and VDI in education settings which was very informative. After the session was over I headed down to the hang space just outside the Solutions Exchange floor. This hang space is incredible! There are 2 basketball courts, a volleyball court, and a badminton court. Everywhere you see computer geeks lounging with their choice of wireless device struggling to get online. Getting connected upstairs is near impossible, so feeds are more sparse than would normally be expected. However, between the live VMware community TV and vExpert Corner podcasts, the bloggers lounge has been buzzing with vExperts all day. Today I will be streaming live from the Blogger’s Lounge on VMware Community TV, at 10:30am and 2:00pm. Be sure to check it out, it is always great discussion and insight into VMworld and the vExpert program. I’ve been able to catch up with some of the heavy hitters in the VMware community and they’ve all been very gracious in stopping to chat and giving advice. John Troyer has been the life of the party, last night he was decked out a mirrored lounge jacket and bowtie. Below are some of the pictures I’ve captured thus far.
